Maptuner X

I've been talking to Jim about getting set up with a Maptuner. I'll call him again tomorrow and get it headed my way. Once I have it, I'll try loading some maps from my Mac (booted with a Windows OS) and let you know how it goes.

I'm thinking it doesn't work with the apple I downloaded virtual box and can use windows 10 now on my MacBook when I download maptuner on the windows 10 the drivers have been downloading for about a day now and it still isn't complete a little more than half way there lol

Huh, I re-booted into a Windows OS and installed Maptuner X in about 2 minutes. The FTDI driver package extracted/installed in about 10 seconds.

Again, I'm using Bootcamp. Perhaps this is the difference...?

If you already have win10 running I would try to restart everything, make sure the I/O is working such as downloading a small PDF (and confirming it opens) and then try reloading the drivers.

I am in the process of buying this maptuner X but does anybody knows if you remove the map from the ecu and bring it back to stock , Will yamaha or the dealer be able to see that there was a different map in the ecu ?

Great question. i am following as well!! but i have heard that as of right now, it is not traceable. however yamaha is coming out (or maybe already has) with an ECU update that dealers will flash on to track how much boost pressure has run in the sled. this way they can tell if it has been flashed. do not get the update if one becomes available!! lol
