I have done some searching and I have not found exactly the topic that I am looking for, so I am creating it. I am wondering about riders that own an Apex with the Fox Mega Float rear suspension, and as personal as this question may be to some, I would like to know how much PSI they run in the shock, also how much they weigh, and their riding style. Just trying to gauge what others have been using, and how their weight and riding style has affected their PSI setting on their shock. Thanks Happy and Safe riding this year. :letsnow:

265lbs I run about 190lbs. but you really need to go out and play with it. i wouldstart with at least 150lb if you are 190 or less. you need to have lift or put sled on side to get good gauging

I started out at about 150 psi and immediatly increased it to 160. from there i ended up bumping it up to 175 psi where it spent the remainder of the season. i weigh 230 lbs with gear on.
I'm probably going to increase the pressure 5-10 lbs this year.
I like the ride and I feel the float works better than my kyb shock with the fat guy spring and 2 different revalves. But, it was still bottoming in the big stuff. I am also considering the hygear revalve/mod but waiting for some feedback before i do that.

I also understand that this is not a big bump skid but sometimes you have no choice on trail conditions and i would prefer my shock was set up for some big stuff before i end up in it.
just my opinion

205 lbs 20 + lbs of gear.
Trail rider, prefer a decently groomed.
162 psi in Mega works best for me. [62 psi in the front shocks]
Tried 145 to 190 psi.
Bottoms in the G bumps but pretty darn good otherwise.
The harder you ride the SE the better the Floats seem to like it.
