MPI understands the need for horsepower. We have combined our knowledge and experience of building superchargers and turbochargers for Yamaha along with our huge purchasing power with our vendors to create a low cost entry level trail turbo kit. This kit utilizes many of the high quality parts from our intercooled turbo kits combined with some careful re-packaging of the components to lower the cost and reduce the installation time. We still utilize the same high quality Mitsubishi turbo that has been proven to be very reliable. We will still maintain all the built in house CNC parts and tig welding that were known for. This kit is still designed to deliver 180-190 HP on premium pump gas. The kit will also be upgradeable to our high quality intercooled systems.

The kit includes:
Same - Mitsubishi 15G turbo
New Lighterweight Compact - Full stainless steel muffler
Same - High volume aluminum airbox
Same - Fuel controller
Full color instructions with over 75 photos
2-3 hour install time with NO re-routing of anything.

We will be excepting pre-season deposits of $250.00 through April 30th. Delivery of the kits will before September 30th. We also have dealer pricing available.

Feel free to call with any questions. 888-649-4609

That's a great deal Matt! People pay attention to this as Yamaha already backs MPI turbo's and they have passed many many endurance tests!

My turbo has been flawless! And Matt's customer service is second to none! All the guys at MPI will take the time to help and get you going!!

As far as there craftsmen ship goes that's also second to none! Very nice and well built kit that exceeds any other! ;)!

Could you comment on the noise level of the muffler that comes in the kit...how does it compare to the stock muffler sound/noise? Thanks

Yamadog has some videos of that and I think MPI has a thread on it too.

That's a perfect video! ;)!

Haven't seen any videos from anyone else's turbo!

Besides me MPI, Tom MPI, Steve MPI. All I see is MPI...Hmmmmmm

And can't forget Matts video oh and another MPI???

When I had an issue with my MCX on my Phazer I found I was kinda on my own. When I had a problem with my MPI Supercharger Matt not only helped he told me where to get the parts locally so I could get back going quickly even though MPI mised the sale for those parts. My point is I don't care so much about quality as they are all good but I do care about NOT missing several weekends waiting on parts. MPI for me without a doubt.

What type of controller comes with this kit?

Yes it is the Gems controller. Seems complicated, but once you catch on it's really easy! Great stuff from MPI!

Is it as programmable as the pcv? I'm just very stuck on the power commander with an auto tune. I know how to use the system and have seen first hand how much power is lost that can be gained back by simply plugging the system into my laptop and accepting the new trims the auto tune produces

It's just a fuel controller. So not programmable. Just adjusting fuel numbers AFR's very easy to adjust. Shouldn't need to gain more hp. The turbo should be plenty. 6 pounds of boost and proper fuel numbers. With a good AFR and boost gauge. 190 hp should be plenty!
