Hey Brent, Now your getting the idea ;)! Lets plan a trip out west next year, I'll pick you up on the way out ;)!

I would be seriously interested.

Come this way and I will be your guide. I prefer Grand Mesa, Colorado. 800 square miles of powder riding and ride from your cabin door. Rooms start at $55.00 night at Grand Mesa Lodge.

Sounds good Bill, I'm on the way! ;)!

Just curious about the fuel pump and head studs as I noticed the "Spring Order" 240 kit doesn't appear to include those. (2015 models)

The 240 kit would have to have a fuel pump! The stock one does not have enough flow to support any boost above 6-7 pounds.

It does include the fuel pump and head studs.

Have you compared fuel mileage? Would be interested if not a major loss.

Ok, I guess I meant the stage 1 upgrade kit. For the spring order vipers with the base $2000 turbo. Last I saw the pump and studs were not included with the $1500 (240 hp) upgrade. Unless this has recently changed??

That's right. Two different upgrade kits. One is for the stage 1 intercooled kits that we sold this year, the other is for the Yamaha 180 kit.

Why are they needed on one 240 hp kit and not the other 240 hp kit? They're both Viper motors, I was hoping you would elaborate. If you don't want to, not a big deal.

The majority of the stage 1 kits sold this year where to sea level guys. Without a doubt the sea level guys will NEED a fuel pump to get to 240. The reason it’s not included in the upgrade kit on the base Yamaha kit is most of them will be high altitude. You can get away without a pump some times. We think that it’s a good idea to always upgrade the pump when going above 6psi of boost. I get tried of guys auguring with me about if they need a pump or not or if they should just throw larger injectors in. I gave up. They think I'm trying to sell them something they don't need. Plus everyone thinks they can just buy a fuel pump off ebay for 1/2 of what I would sell them a kit for. It’s a KIT theirs more to it then just a pump. I will RECOMMEND that everyone buys a fuel pump upgrade when increasing the boost but I won't force them into it. Sorry if it was confusing.

Matt

maybe you need to call 1 a stage 1 6000 kit and the other a flatlander special stage 1 kit. Then you could sell a 6000 upgrade stage II and a flatlander stage II then those that got the 6000 stage I could upgrade to the intercooler, add fuel pump, head shim and studs and wastegate......wait now I am confused :o|

Thank you, that answers my question. Living in Alaska I will certainly need the fuel pump. Going to be a fun winter next year.
