MSD Launch Master WOW

did you guys test this on snow.. meaning racing on the lake set up Hard pack?? Did it just trench through and spin track more, or did engaging at higher boost level help with hole shot?

anyone having any problems with wide band o2's mounted in the downpipe when using the launch master? Just wondering if there is any adverse affects on them with the popping and the flames, possibly cracking the ceramic and damaging the sensor???

You only need to hold the button for 2 seconds to get to max take off boost pressure. At the race you may have to hold it longer. To date I have not heard of any problems. I will however make a heat sink from a copper plate whenever my sensor needs replacement, I've got a few overheat error codes when starting up a hot engine shortly after shutdown.

BTW I don't have a Launch Master, but I will report on what we find running it in my friends Attak.

at 5300 on the asphalt we consistantly saw 5 psi of Boost and a whole lotta flames. Went from 1.6 60ft times to 1.2. Our only issue is the durability of the box. We have gone through 3 which have quit working. Anyone else having reliability issues with it?.

been looking everywhere for some respons on this product but on the tube all i got wasnt much.

is there anyone comparing stock vs msd 4350.

My questions is how it works outside the racetrack. with a mcx290 144 1.75" track.

Still, no one can show or tell off it doing powder or commen packed trail r ice for just fun?

Did this just die?
would like to hear any longterm testing engine aswell launch controll.

Does it need to be set as close as possible to eng rpm or will any under that work.

how about the tear on chain and belt at this hard starts.

remembered having my sled up at Erik at McXpress and he didnt believe it was any good for the engine, shooting like that.

One piece of me want it bad for the few dragraces i do and as partytrick ;O

The other screems engine failure ;(

I've never heard of engine failure due to studdering. Antli-lag bypass systems are much worse. All your doing is cutting ignition and the un burnt fuel is popping creating the turbo more pressure to spool up faster.

Also you can't even look at osp video as they are using a complete ecu kit with it built in which adjust timing and fuel to create so much boost. That's a $5000.00 upgrade which i'm in process of doing just with the Motec system though.

Lets se if i remember correct about the installing.

Black=ground anywhere
blue=Plus anyone, 12v outlet maybe.
blue/white= to the button to activate the launch? Anyone know wich wire to cut in to for activating it with the brake lever?

and the rest in to the coils and the led should light up when msd 4350 is activated.

Will this work in Nytro motor in new Viper? If not what you are using in Nytro for same results. I would use it only for fun in the winter.

I think the problem with just a launch control is you have not ideal what boost you will be at when the light goes green , push the button to early and you over boost and lose traction , push the button to late and you do not build any boost before the light goes green.
The two step is a total different animal , it will take you to a preset launch boost and cycle it there .you can set what boost you want .
