- 2022 Tcat EPS,
2014 ZR9000 (sold)
1978,1979,1980 SRX (sold)
When I bought my first turbo in 2014, I decided to break it in without studs bone stock. That sled was about 180hp. All it did was spin the track. After the break in, I went to 5 studs per bar like my old Tcats. That worked much better. LOL

The Mini Z sure has a big price tag.
Put that much money in a Sidewinder and it will be a beast everywhere!

Mach Z and Winder probably gonna be close. However BRP made their ECU next to impossible for tuners to access so even if the Winder guy gets beat 100hp increase is only one phone call away.

I see Hurricane has a stand alone ECU available.Mach Z and Winder probably gonna be close. However BRP made their ECU next to impossible for tuners to access so even if the Winder guy gets beat 100hp increase is only one phone call away.

I really don't know how much a tune for the Mach will benefit? Yes a little bit. But the thing is already pushing 16psi, not much room for reliable boost. Perhaps another 3-4 psi but will the internals support this?

Winder vs. Apex again huh?
Well not quite... Same source, same scales used by AmSnow Magazine over the years. (Real World, Real Weights, all full of fuel and fluids just like they get ridden) Some machine had stud packages some did not.
2017 Winder LTX-LE with studs Full of fluids and fuel. #671
2007 Attak, bare track no studs Full of fluids and fuel. #691
2011 Apex XTX w/power steering, with studs Full of fluids and fuel. #717
None the less, ALL these Yamaha's and Cats are heavy, much heavier than the Doo Four-Strokes are for sure. Thats one place they need to work on harder. Get the weights down to where the Doo's 900 turbos are at.

No where near 998 levels but maybe another 50-60 hpI really don't know how much a tune for the Mach will benefit? Yes a little bit. But the thing is already pushing 16psi, not much room for reliable boost. Perhaps another 3-4 psi but will the internals support this?

Not gonna happen without a larger turbo, intercooler, injectors and more then likely a different ECU, and I don't think the engine internals will take that kind of power.
At that point might as well put a Precision Motec setup on a 1200 and be the HP KING.

Precision measured the turbo inlet on the 900r. 1mm larger than 900t.
Found on YouTube....

It's 1mm bigger on the turbo intake is all vs. the t model. If they could get 25 HP from an actual tune on the Mach I'd be surprised. Its pretty much maxed as it is stock. The problem is the ECU is locked down tight and no-one to date has been able to get in and do any thing with it, and its been out for over one year already on the SxS model. Tuners are now buying a replacement ECU from someone for the new model and tuning it, so keep the stock one and replace it with an aftermarket ECU... No info on them yet other than that, but getting winder type power is not going to happen without better and expensive hard parts to go with it. So honestly, its going to be expensive to get winder type mod power with out spending close to 10K.
