The 800 E-TEC is beyond the 300 mile break-in and is running strong. It pulls my Nytro top end, but does not have a chance against me in 400-500 feet!! Two videos attached: The night drag, I am in the middle, the 800 E-TEC on the left, and my son's FX Nytro on the right. I was holeshotting most anything that joined us one night at the line on hard-packed lake. Top end for me was 98-100 all day long GPS. The 800 E-TEC runs about 107-110 and catches me anywhere from 400-600 feet and pulls me like my APEX.

Thanks! The DOO is has pics as well.....

Im considering getting a Ulmer Clutch kit after getting beat so bad off the line.. LOL

nice job...

I think it is upshifting a bit too fast..you can maybe pull a bigger secondary #. for example.

If you can get the skis to stay about 2 inces off the snow..better also..as more track is on the ground..to dig..

keep up the good work..

Yes, the upshift is awesome. Would love to get a better secondary with a higher top end. What would you suggest? :rocks:

Sit down there will be less wind resistance

are you telling him to sit down coming out of the hole??

Yep, I get down soon after the holeshot trying to get every MPH I can. It is a Rocket to 600 feet but lacks the top end of the Apex. Would love to have the Apex top end with my holeshot, now that would be the ultimate sled!!!

I hear ya, finally got some trail time on my sled with drag n flys set up by Turk. It will pull your arms off till about 80 mph then falls on its face.......sucks but its not a lake racer haha. Sweet vids too. So did you find a good price on your replacement spindles? Got me worried about mine :o|

Unfortunately did not get a good price. Bought new ones for $231.00 each and did not get them re-powder coated. My son's sled did the same thing so I am convinced it was too much heat in the powder coating process for the aluminum.

That sucks, mine look good to go but some of the pc on the sides of the spindle are chipping off a little. Kinda pisses me off but what are you gonna do.......at least they aren't bending. You going to the give a way ride this weekend in munising?

Could not make it up there this weekend, planning early Feb. I am simply going to paint them black with a good quality can of Rust-Oleum or something that is strong. May have to sand and repaint eaxch year but the new spindles are strong as we rode very hard and boondocked last month with no issue on my new set. My son's sled, different story. We have already ordered a set for his :o|

Well i'll be watching mine, they look good after yesterdays ride. I did get some stud rub on my heat exchanger, which is not making me too happy. I tightened up my track quite a bit more so hopefully that will stop it. Kinda concerning......

I would say your fine, both mine and my dads bent after 1 ride..One of mine bent so i replaced that 1 and then while we were up north the other one started bending bad! So every so often had to bend it back..
