The little rubber nib is a cosmetic finishing plug that sticks into the end of your tunnel running boards.
Mine kept popping out and I have lost one in the past, so 2 weeks ago I used a Bulldog Grip (a contractor adhesive builders use) to glue them in. Everytime I would brush snow from the running boards I would knock them out. Very annoying.
