I run a 2007 apex er and I need an extra 5 mph at the top end where should I go ? Is there any simple adjustment I could do.

yeah, start with one thing at a time, don't do multiple things, simple one is make sure your track is spinning freely

adjust transfer full.. make sure your moderately studded(i use 1.450) , gear up one tooth on top gear.$35.00 Make sure belt is fresh. You wanna spend more money get pc3, airbox mod and ignition controller. That should do the trick!! for under 1000.00 Track tension is huge, make sure it's not too tight, i run the track loose and i found i get the most speed out of it. The stock ripsaw track also robs a few mph. Go with a 1" lug like a hacksaw or predator!!

All great ideas and here are a few more ideas that are simple and fairly inexpensive...do these and you will gain a few mph's for sure.
cr10ek plugs
windage plates on secondary
lower front end
pull up limiter strap

Fully clipped track has better top end, extra idlers, softer setting on rear suspension to get her to skath down to cut down on track angles/approach, single carbides for less drag and less preload on front "A" arm shocks...studs will rob you 5 to 10 mph on top...less traction out of the hole but you can't have both.

Nevermind trying to emerg. stop at 120mph.. Last of my worries would be the 1/1000 of a chance a stud hits the exchanger. Haven't had it happen in 6 years of sledding. Knock on wood i guess lol
