I usually stud my sleds myself but I am in the middle of moving into a new house and everything I own is in storage so I am having my dealer stud my new Attak I told him to install 162 down the middle but I am wondering if I should just have him add 108...As I have seen many on here only run 108... has anyone run 162 studs down the middle?
Also debating on either the Woodys 8" doolys or just the regular 8" carbides.....Thanks for some quick information.....
Hope to meet some of you in the UP this winter.......drf

108 on my Attak this weekend and the stock carbides because I knew that they would take a beating this weekend and they did,but you'll need more than stock up front I'm going to try 6 1/2 inch this coming weekend...But 108 seemed to hook up well on the trail if you are going to drag alot I'd get more...But if you're going to drag alot go with chisels, I guess what I'm trying to say is you need to figure out what you're going to do with the sled and adjust the studs from there

I personally would go with the 162 studs. These sleds have a lot of hp and lots of torque. On a hard pack surface you'd be asking alot of a limited number of studs. Spacing out the load on the studs will keep you from overstressing the track. Also, be careful not to have too much penetration beyond the lugs. Same basic issue can occur then.
I've opted to put Simmons Skis on with the 6 inch carbides. They're a bit costly, but, they deliver a great ride with no darting.

I went with 162 up the middle. 230 miles and seems to work fine.
