2006 apex ,2006 attack
Hi I have a 2006 Attack that the fuel pump relay will click but no pump . I switched relays around and all will just click the same . I read about the poor ground jumper blocks and have found 10 . I have cut all 10 out and soldered the wires . Stiil no pump . I can squirt gas into the intake and it will run . The fuel pump will run when a battery is hooked to it and it pumps fuel . All fuses check out with ohm meter . Not sure were to look next .
I also have a 2006 apex rtx that had the burnt ground plug wires and cutting them out worked on it .
Thanks
Andy

I have seen this exact problem happen. It ended up being a bent pin on the ECU. Have you recently unplugged the ecu? Maybe try swapping with a know working ecu. I would go to diagnostic mode and see if you can verify the pump is getting the correct voltage. Good luck.

Check for power to the relay on the on the load side.
Check the wire going from the relay to the pump.

Thanks for the replies . I did have ECU unplugged . Checked it and the pins are all straight . I have a new year's party to get ready for so I'll
get more into it tomorrow . Thanks Andy

If my memory serves me, you can run the pump from the speedo and turn it on and off in diagnostic mode. Are you familiar with this procedure? If it runs, the relay is fine. I'll check my service manual and can step you through that if you want.

Thanks for the replys. I checked the diagnostics and there was no voltage going to the fuel pump. I swapped the starter relay out with the 06 apex relay and it fired right up!

Does that mean the other 2 relays are NFG because if you switched in a working relay the pump should have run.

The starter relay is under the air box with a big white plug going into it. This a source of alot of problems and to me it sounds like it failed or plug was corroded resulting in the no control power getting sent to the fuel pump relay. By using the diagnostics mode on the speedo you can test the communication from the ecu to the sensors/components and narrow down the culprit.

Have noticed a lot of problems with bad starter relays. Have changed four myself.
