Hey TY4Stroke, new to the forum so thought I would drop a quick post.
Well long story short I am a life long Polaris owner and hung up the hat... took delivery saturday of a Sidewinder X-TX SE. Is all I can say so far is wow, that turbo is addicting. I have rode a few 4 strokes in the past, demos and buddies, but never really fell in love with one. That being said I hoped on a sidewinder last winter and loved it, so I pulled the trigger. Looking forward to getting lots of useful info from the forum!

Welcome to the club brother! Lots stuff to read up on here. Most guys who are out riding and not having any issues never post, so dont worry if you read the minority with any probs....We all love to help out here.
If you are bored, I have a build thread(signature below) that has lots of the things to look for.
The legs on these sleds is the addicting part....After lots of swapping with buds new XRS 850, those big twins which will vibrate your hands, just dont have that top end pull...and that is where these sleds are at.

Right on......I was afraid to switch myself. One short pull across the field by my house. Was very convincing.

Get used to your arms being sore all the time. One thing about these Sidewinders is they pull and pull all day long.

And they do it all effortlessly....so you need to look at your speedo often, and get used to it on fast trails, as the lack of engine braking and long legs can get you into trouble fast. Take her easy the first few rides!Get used to your arms being sore all the time. One thing about these Sidewinders is they pull and pull all day long.

Ive never been a POO fan, but since Dano bought an assault, I get it. Very precise handling and light.
It would be very interesting if POO brought out a 4s engine, that was able feel so nimble. Doubt they would tho.
