New 13 Apex XTX, what are the standard MODS????

Where do I get the drop down wheel kit??? Also, I wanted to add more Idlers, should I get more of the stock size or bigger?

Thanks,
Ray

If you run razors...slim jim or deuce bar is a great help for front heavy sleds

with this sled strictly trail. I bought the C&A's because thats what was there when I bought it and figured they would work great on trail with the Power steering.
Thanks for all your comments and help so far!

Having PS....... REALLY HELPS male those Aggressive Skis feel lighter to turn. Just keep an eye on your weight transfer / ski pressure :sled1:

Yah I ride the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Wisconsin mostly. I am from Illinois unfortunately so ya......

I bought the Apex for my Trail blazing sled, just got rid of my turbo cat for it. I am not interested in off trail with this sled strictly trail. I bought the C&A's because thats what was there when I bought it and figured they would work great on trail with the Power steering.

On another note, changing the oil in this thing is a real PITA.......but its all good because it done.

Which C&A's did they sell you? Hopefully not the pros because those are not a curved ski, they are flat. Meaning that they are very aggressive because there is more contact between carbide/runner & the snow. Had the pros on my sled & got rid of them because they darted severely on hard packed groomed trails!!
If you have the curved ones you should be good to go. Lets us know how they handle.

I got the Razors..........all flat. If they do not work well I will get something else. Hopefully I get to try them out next week.......as long as the winter holds out

He'll be fine..he has power steering.thats why I brought up the double runners..and tippy tube this suspension for the bite

ok...since you have a 12' and the fueling is better...it has been said the pcv isnt needed or a real improvement...what say you on that?

Why doesn't anybody say that, because I have not read that anywhere. Please tell me if I am wrong. I put a post asking to see and no answer.

I agree, it was probably a waste of money. I haven't noticed any real difference in performance or mileage from the first 1000 miles without it but it wasn't broken in yet then. I also haven't been over 101 mph on the lake yet due to conditions and running out of room but there's a lot of throttle left and still pulling hard at that speed. Maybe it will help at the very top end, not sure yet, but how fast do you need to go....I'm sure it would have been fine without it.

Well, DuPont slides went in, just finished the star suspension kit. C&A's are great, a bit harder to turn even with the PS. 1.5 camoplast going in soon. Overall I love this sled. Owned a few skidoos and Arctic craps over the years but this sled is the best trail sled I have ever owned. I do have a skidoo freeride for off trail as the apex is way too heavy.

I added gytr's to the front of mine to stop the bottoming I was getting on the mid sized hits.
