There is something to be said when a Maine yamaha dealer is still questioning yamaha's commitment to there snow program. If they didn't use cat's procross they would be dead in the water. For a snowmobile company in this position in 16-17 model year is unreal to me. I have a great motor with endless performance options and a chassis that can handle it. win win for me.

I'm not so sure the dealers know the commitment level of any manufacturer

2011 Apex SE Supercharged (Sold)
From the new video head light lines seem similar to the viper, and you can grab a glimpse of what looks like the double screen guage with the blue Yamaha words underneath, like the current Viper. I'm thinking viper chassis with a new power plant, I guess we will see March 1st. Just a guess, can't wait to see if this will be replacing my Apex.

Yamaha has a 800 DI 2stroke already( on the marine side of things) don't know when that is coming out.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that Yamaha never had a production HPDI outboard that small. The smallest HPDI was a 150HP V6.
The only 2 stroke Waverunner that had EFI, not HPDI, was 1300cc.

Cat snow bike is a for sure. It uses a Sherco motorcycle which I just found out from my Yammy/Cat dealer (yeah they were both before the merge) is owned by Yamaha. He said it is a for sure from Cat, Yam he's not sure but why not if Cat is doing it????That's right. I don't see a production snow bike coming from Yamaha, But maybe AC.....Or are you saying they are or could soon be one in the same......the more that gets swapped back and forth the closer it gets to that.

AC already showed off their snow bike at Hay Days last Fall.

I don't doubt the BV2s helmet works good, I even tried one on the other day. Too bad it reminds me of Nazi Germany........I don't like the looks at all.i agree better jackets etc..nothing beat the bv2s helmet though

My God....thousands of posts of "imagination"...sadJust because they are sticking with the tall spindle and wide a-arm spacing it's the same chassis as the procross? So the axis has a beaver tail, that mean it's the same as the first rev?

It may just be a glorified viper with few few upgrades such as the headlight does look similar to a Viper ,although if you look closely the shape is similar but the reflecting inner chrome reflecting lens does appear to be different and also has a LED light, another difference I noticed is the hoodcowl is similar to a Viper although not exact to the vipers, the viper also has a open louvered style grill on the hood shroud, this one appears to be solid and you will see the shuttle difference.Maybe also photo trickery by Yamaha to keep us guessing as the suspense continues. We will have to wait and see March first. We should consider taking bets or a contest to who is the closest to knowing what it is.

I do not believe the Sherco story, great deflect from AC. Why would they use a Sherco when they are partners with Yamaha that can supply them the bike a lot cheaper than Sherco.

My thoughts, maybe it will be similar to the Redline design concept, with a more chiseled a appearance similar to the Viper, powered by the new engine in the R1. Let's hear what you guys thoughts are that it may be.This is getting very interesting.
