Snow bike for mountain for AC, supplied from Y, Snowmobile for trail for AC and Y. Basically a collaboration from both on either products, after all they are in a partnership.

I think small nose mounted intercooler, 2 small radiators either side of motor to get it lower. Or rad is deleted and they went with more tunnel cooling like back in the day. Maybe small radiator on the turbo model.
I also feel there are ergonomic changes and some diff tweaks on the chassis. It will be similar to the rush to the axis. All very subtle but significant changes. I personally wild like another inch in the seat height aswell as the cowel wrapped around more so that my legs can move forward more, matching that of the nytro would be fine so I could get right up to the bars when needed

The sound still intrigues me, and the LED is sweet! Just give me some power that's not super heavy(doesn't even need to be the lightest) and can handle a twisty with real yamaha reliability....then take my money.

Looks like skidoo has something new this year as well. We'll find out Monday for them. Why not...Skidoo has been using the same chassis since 08 ..XP and XS are the same chassis

I told you guys last March that a "new apex" was seen,...not far from the yamaha test facility (great bass lake, west of minocqua).....these photos could be it...unfortunately the guy who saw it..was a polaris rider, and he really didn't know the yamaha models well...all he could say was that it was radical looking and very different from the current apex...though he also said it didn't look like a viper...who knows??
I will say this...I would highly doubt you see a two stroke...and especially not a cat powered two stroke... (wtf?? Are some of u on drugs??)....why would yamaha do that..?? They are an engine company...now cat putting a yamaha engine in their sleds makes sense...that's the only two stroke rumor that might make sense (if yamaha built a dfi Two stroke for cat, or it was a joint venture)
Again I'd be very surprised if yamaha ever made another two stroke snowmobile....I just don't see it happening....a 3 cylinder turbo is more logical...though many of us are praying it's a 4 cylinder in that cat chassis with eps....right?

I'm still scratching my head over how many of u think yamaha would put a cat engine...especially a two stroke...in a yamaha badged sled...(smh)...you guys crack me up...lol

Foooooor the record I said maybe the new "Cat" 800 DI motor is made by Yamaha and will be used in both sleds not the other way around. I say no way no how would a Yamaha snowmobile ever have a Cat built motor in it. Yamaha are known as a motor company for god's sake.

I do not believe the Sherco story, great deflect from AC. Why would they use a Sherco when they are partners with Yamaha that can supply them the bike a lot cheaper than Sherco.
I know it seems strange to me also but as I said according to my Yam dealer Yam has an investment in Sherco. It is strange that it's not a YZ and if there is a Yam snowbike coming you better belive it will be a YZ.

Should be a wr450f. E-start, headlight, HO stator for heated grips or other accessories.I know it seems strange to me also but as I said according to my Yam dealer Yam has an investment in Sherco. Really. I'm with you. This is absolutely absurd. And unless CR is playing with everyone on his blog, he said a 2s makes no sense for Yamaha from a business standpoint.I'm still scratching my head over how many of u think yamaha would put a cat engine...especially a two stroke...in a yamaha badged sled...(smh)...you guys crack me up...lol

The 2 stroke doesn't make sense for Yamaha if they only sold it in a Yamaha. But, you could argue developing the viper/nytro engine and the apex motor any further than what is currently produced is also not worth it. They are great engines with few issues and can be modded to make a truckload of hp and still be reliable. So they put it in a cat and make the investment worth it by selling "twice as many". Same could true for a 2stroke. If it its in both brands it's worth it. Did Yamaha have any thing to the with the cat 600? They still sell 2 stroke dirt bikes
Rigid one how do you like your axys?
