Anything is possible.  Have no idea about the 8DN.  The 8GS that blew could have been a one of my old high mileage belts.  The 8GK that's on there now is a new belt from last year, the same batch as the first one that blew last year.
				
			 
 
		
		
			
			
				
			
		
		
	
					Did second belt blow same way? Top came off? Check clutch faces for a groove wore in them.

					Wow I did it to a 8DN on Viper this year. It was real old so just replaced. I dont know what to say. No brown on clutches indicating slipping?
