So as I posted in the , 'What have you done to your Nytro' thread , My new 2011 leftover XTX is wrecked with 160 or so miles on it.
Front suspension is all bent and twisted. So my question is what aftermarket suspension kits should I be buying and why?
Or should I just put it back stock with tuner skis.
Please advise.

Well Yeti, I feel your pain, I bought a new 2013 last year and I had 100 miles and I did the same thing on the same side. I caused $5500 in damage. Hood, spindles, oil can, sub frame, a-arms, handle bars. ETC. Insurance covered it

Riding too fast for conditions. Got out of shape and the right front ski off the trail and into the powder where there was a big rock. Sled made a quick stop and I went over the bars.

Looks like you just became president of the Bent subframe club. Glad to hear you're not hurt or twisted up as bad as the machine. Grizz might be able to help and depending what your A-arms look like you might get away not too bad. Never ride faster than your guardian angel. A friend of mine is on his 3rd A-arm this season with his new 2014 (less than 500km) 1200 4-Tec. He thinks the sled makes him the best rider in Alberta. NOT

Ah heck, that will buff right out. Just kidding. Might not be to bad . If the a-arms are tweaked you might as well go with a aftermarket kit, some around the $1000 mark and up. I think there is a couple under the $1000. Zbros will come with new spindles and a good option if your spindles are damaged. As for the sub frame it may be able to be straightened , new in the U.S is about $650 I think. Canada we pay $1100 roughly. Any other damage to the plastic or is it just the front suspension components. What are your shocks like.
I was in a similar situation last year with 600 miles on mine and a guy turned in front of me. It was either the railway tie for a corner post or him. I chose him..

I got my sled back from the dealer today, all fixed and good as new. It now has tuner skis, with 4 & 4 on the carbides. And it has the JRE spindles and skid lowering kit.
I brought it home and rode it for about 20 mins in the farmers field next door. Icy, hard, frozen conditions. Sled seemed to be working awesome in this icy crusty stuff. Seem to have lots of transfer and a hell of lot of traction for not being picked! Whack the throttle and it picks the skis up and just goes. let off the throttle and it sets the skis back down and seems to keep tracking straight with no drama. Also seems to turn real well but was not overly hard to steer, I think I hit the sweet spot with the carbides.
All the Twitchy, Nervousness seems to be gone... Though this weekend will be the real test...

Whelp so much for Yamaha reliability... Timing chain thrown or maybe broke and valves have been bent. This Nytro and I are not off to a good start!

Ouch that sucks. Hopefully the dealer comes through for you if it's under warranty yet. Been a rough winter for ya.
