New offset ski geometry, can it be positive for older sleds?

The new Apex has:

New geometry
The new 15mm trail offset on the ski mount helps minimize inside ski lift due to centrifugal force during turns. And, by optimizing the amount of resistance from the snow surface that’s applied to the rear end of the ski, including forces from bumps and ruts, this offset helps the new Apex SE achieve its amazingly smooth handling, including its excellent straight line performance.

I have looked on my 07 Attak GT and there are spacers on each side of the bolt going through the skis. The spacers are about 16mm so it would be easy to do this "new geometry" with both spacers on the outside of the spindle.

The other optimizing seems to me to be a different "shimning/preload" of the ski in the rear, so it would also be fairly easy to do if I only knew how much?

What do you think guys, is this something to test?

And what about the new skis, can we use them and still manage to steer the sled without EPS?
