Since Yamaha quit using the 2.5mm set screw that holds the roller pin/roller bolt in place, there have been many clutches coming in where the wear from the roller pin is damaging the roller pin diameter in the spyder of the Yamaha primary clutch.
Thunder Products Clutching has invented a cryogenic washer that holds the roller pin and roller pin bolt in place. These cryogenic washers (1 per roller pin and bolt) keep the roller pin from wearing the spyder and also cuts down on the clutch rattle. Also, these are reusable.
Grab a hold of your roller pin bolt and you will see and hear the bolt and pin move.
***Note, this will not eliminate the dreaded clutch rattle as that noise is coming from the crank splines and resonating through the clutch sheaves. ***
