Thunder Products 911 Billet Primary Cover (Tested to 12,000rpm)

What do these use to hold the sleeve in. I've got 3 of these I aquire over the years but none have any hardware. Never got around to figuring out how they worked

The new style 911 cover has a sleeve (with the adjustment dial) that fits over the primary clutch shaft and is held in place with the primary clutch bolt.

The old style looks to have the same sleeve (without the adjustment dial) and is held on by the primary bolt also.

Both of these sleeves go thru the bronze bushing on the 911 cover, that is why they last so long.

Are you missing the sleeve?

I have the sleeves but if I remember right with the stock bolt setup the sleeve still slides off. Been a while since I looked at it. I'll have to check again. I have one with the belt adjuster and 2 without

If you send into Thunder Products....Lonn can get you updated and you will have adjustments on all of them.

I want to see my Viper with the stock gearing, Thunder Products 911 cover and clutch kit get over 18 mpg this year on the trails. Might not be all the time, but I want to see it a couple times.

My problem is I head down the trail and when I see a nice off-trail spot to play.....I'm like "SQUIRREL!!!!!!!"

Video for anyone who is thinking or have bought a 911 cover from Thunder Products. You do not have to remove your belt or primary to add this cover.

My I ad that you a very thin wall socket to tighten your clutch bolt. I had to use a socket from a motor cycle tool kit that comes with a bike or that comes with the sled.

The socket I used is a Snap-On. Also have 2 other sockets in my possesion that work. 1 is an off-brand Crafsman and the other is China.

When you installed the new cover did you use the glide washers from the kit?

On the 2 kits I installed Saturday, yes...I installed 2 glide washers (1 on each side of the primary spring). I did not include that in this video but I do recommend using the glide washers from Thunder Products.... If nothing else, at least 1 bewteen the cover and primary spring.

And that easy 2800 RPM engagement was from the spring that comes with the kit from Thunder Products right? (not the spring you like from BOP's) Just want to be very clear on this for everyone.

Thanks, I intend to follow your video install of the whole kit exactly.
