Speaking of stock primary spring. Does anyone know what color is in a 2016 LTX-LE ? Thanks.

The 2016 LTX I installed the kit on this past Saturday had the blue/silver/blue stock, same as the 2015 and 2014.

Just off of the phone with Lonn, after a great pre-season of selling covers... Lonn ordered more and his covers are ready to ship :)

Also, if you order a 911 cover or Big Venom Kit, you can get a Carbon Fiber Belt for $99 :)

So with this cover, when you crank the knob to tighten the sheave to belt distance, do you need to worry about increasing the weight to roller distance. On my stock clutch the rollers are free to spin now. Tightening will only increase this gap. As in the weights would have to swing further before initial contact to make the clutch engage, CORRECT.

They would but once engine is started they are touching already. It would change the angle they are working at in all rpm's though. Interesting. Never thought about it. Will have to do some testing to see if the angle is noticeable.

You are correct swampcat

And tests show that there is about 100 rpm difference between having the cover and not having the cover. Having the cover will engage as low as 2,400. Most kits will engage at 2,500-2,600 without the cover...still very low.

Noticed the belt to sheave clearance with a new Gates 40C4340 is about .050-.060. Did not even check stock 8jp belt, dont plan on running it. Have not tried the spare Gates yet, as the first one is still in break-in mode.

Wow thats alot. Smoother engagement could help your clutch temps also. Even the Yamaha belts 8DN and 8JP vary alot in width. NosPro and I like to pull all the belts off shelf at dealer whenever a new shipment comes and find the wide ones! That cover should eliminate that.

Used to do that also, take the tailors tape and calipers and go to the dealer belt shopping. This damn interweb where you just order stuff over the airwaves makes that impossible, belts are a crapshoot now. The OSP adjuster helps ALOT. Thats what got me thinking 911 cover.

Lonn mentioned a new batch of covers are on their way and thanks everyone for purchasing covers :)
