Thunder products anti movement washers

do the quit washers wear and get noisey also
and how long before they get noisey
i have 3 srxs and they are noisey 1 is really bad
all at 1000 miles
They help a little.. The clutches on these are just that way.. Nothing has been put out that eliminates the rattle. I don't even care or let it bother me.

This thread is good info ✔️ Just bought our new S-TX GT Friday, put 22 miles on thus far, love it! But, noticed that clutch disengagement noise? Clutch noise? appears to be this subject bolt noise. I just started new breakin... not overly concerned, have watched a few videos of same machines in the mountain snow - same noise. Only when driving - clutch disengaging? ... Will look into the bolt washers... ✔️

That's why I joined this forum. Thanks much to all. KR

The only way to quiet the OEM Yamaha Primary,[or drastically reduce noise], is Hurricane's noise reduction shaft[no longer available] or their noise reduction ring they still sell. Pretty pricey but I have had their noise reduction shaft on my 2019 SW since new and it is still WAY quieter then all my buddies SWs clutches.

copy - thanks for the info. Shouldn't have to do anything like that on a brand new machine 34,000.00 ridiculous lol

No heated garage - we just bought it 3 days ago lol ..

Been out twice thus far ... noticed the clutching noise - the engine is quiet. The clutching noise is just 'different' that's why I noticed it and its not bad nor loud etc. No concerns, wanted to know what it was ... Dealer is great: I have 4 years Warranty ✔️

Its all fine ✔️ I should add - I live in the North: its my new daily Winter driver 6 mths out of the year- around Town, at the Lake, Trails where ever lol, drive out from the house ... all I did was buy a new one ✔️ My previous 4 stroke turbo was dated and sold...

Not much you can do to quiet the stock primary, but it does work well. Be sure to watch for roller/bushing wear over time. If you keep the stock tune you will be fine.

✔️ factory tune and in 2 Up config. 4 years Warranty ... so they/the Dealer can manage it ... I'll C where its at in 4 yrs ✔️ I know where the shop owner lives lol - They are pretty good

If you're running stock power an option is the Umatek clutch. I have a couple customers running them, they are very quiet.

I run the stock clutch and I grind the roller pins shorter so they don't slide back and forth and I also shim the buttons with Polaris shims to keep the clearance at the minimum of spec. I also use the knockout kit, but it has been met with skepticism. Personally I like it.
These mods do take time and may need upkeep every few thousand miles.

Umatek clutch? Not familiar to me

The 1970’s called, they want their clutching technology back.
