- 2007 Apex RTX
2009 Nytro XTX
I just traded my 2002 Viper for my first 4-stroke... a 2007 Apex RTX. I am going to start going through it to make sure that everything is ready once the snow flies. It has 5000 miles on it, an M-20 Airwave suspension, 50 hp Boondocker nitrous kit, Fix ram air kit and a modified Bender exhaust off of an RX-1. I am planning on switching the exhaust back to stock because the Bender is a little loud for my taste. It is in need of a new track, so I will be pulling the suspension and drive shaft and am planning on stretching the M-20 to 136" or 144" with a Cobra track. Aside from checking the obvious things like the exhaust gaskets, driveline bearings and steering bushings, is there anything else I should be paying attention to while I have it apart? As this is my first 4-stroke I would like to take care of any known issues now so I can hopefully have a wrench-free winter! Any advice is greatly appreciated.
