- 2016 Yamaha Viper 153 w/ MPI Turbo
Greetings. I am very new to this site. While I am not new to snowmobiling I did make the jump from a 2013 Polaris 800 Switchback Assault to a 2016 Yamaha Viper MTX 153 with the MPI turbo.
I’m going through this machine after I bought it and have some questions. Please help - any feedback will be appreciated!
1. There appears to be a small melt on the side panel where the exhaust is. When I remove the panel there appears to be this heat blanket - it looks like it has seen better days. Can these be replaced and if so from where? Are there other alternatives to this instead of the blanket?
2. There isn’t an accessory for the my helmet - what’s the easiest way to bring one in? I do see there is an accessory inlet but nothing for a helmet windshield
3. The MPI turbo cold air intake that sticks out the side has a rip in the sock. Where can I guy get a replacement sock for this?

Welcome!
Make sure the can is intact and not leaking. Can get some heat tape at auto store to better protect the panel. If it’s the one that just hangs down many of use used a aluminum can cut and stapled to it to repair it.
Easiest source for powering heated shield is a adapter that just goes into the power socket or Rockmiester here sells a nice one that has usb outputs also.
That sock not sure but lookup K&N online. They have a bunch of sizes and styles. Outerwears also.

Cat sells a cord for your helmet that plus into an accessory plug that is located on the wiring harness near the top of the chain case. You can then rout he helmet end up near the base of the handle bars.

Fits very well. And cheap.
