I have officialy ordered my first Yamaha snowmobile, I have been a Cat rider for over 16 years and to tell you the truth I did'nt think that I would ever change brands. I traded off my 05 f-7 for a 07 Apex GT (red) I had numerous problems with my f-7 over the last two seasons and seeing the few problems that kviper a friend of mine had with his Apex and the economy/smoothness of that machine I really did'nt have to much problem changing brands to yamaha. I hope I made a good choice for my first yamaha sled and hope to talk to some of you for direction on mods and such.[/u][/i][/b]

I have ridden Polaris since '86 and thought I would not change unless perhaps to a Doo. Yamaha was the right choice. Have never enjoyed a sled as much as my Apex ER. I'm sure you will like your new sled as well. No sled is perfect, but this is the closet so far.

Ive read many many threads just like this, with guys jumping ship from other brands...I am one of them,i former 25 yr doo guy!...
What im wondering now....will yamaha possibly jump into the second position for overal sales for 07????....does anyone know how yammi did for 06 sales?..i would bet by all us shipjumpers the 07 yami sales should be VERY CLOSE to DOO overal..and possibly pass them in 09 when the new models appear???..
i guess 4 stroke revolution truly is being sold to all us former diehard 2 smokers...change is good!

Hey Dan, I never did say anything but the Saturday before the Radar Sunday I met with the two Mach Z (Bondi Engines sticker)guys that have a radar gun on Mary Lake. The older gentleman wanted to take my Apex for a ride real bad and then after that the younger guy. They couldn't beleive the pull my Apex had and how smooth the power was. They talked about it for a good 15 minutes.

Are you sure about this? My dealer said they have been up again in sales percentage for the last 2 years, but overall were still 4th for total sales

I switched from POO to an 04 Warrior because smoke from the POO was bothering my wife. Best move I ever made. My wife now rides an 05 Rage, and I have an 07 Attak GT on order. Just to see what it was like, I put 50 miles on an 06 800 Renegade last month. It wasn't bad, but not as good as the Warrior. Too much smoke, lots of vibration, and my knees kept banging against the bulkhead.

This would REALLY surprise me, but I don't know the numbers. I'm sure some of the rags will post #'s at some point, they always do...
