I'm trying to problem-solve for my 2008 Yamaha Nytro Fx 1049, I'd like to have the clutch engage at lower RPM so I was first thinking of getting a new spring for the primary, however, it might be the weight and/or the rollers. I'm looking for advice on the topic. If I need a new spring which would work best for my problem? The local parts store hasn't been much help cause the springs are color-coded and they don't know which are which.

I would contact Chris Schmidt of Schmidt Brothers Motor Sports. He is special when it comes to clutches.

Either options listed work well.
The BOP spring is the most cost effective if you're just looking for lower engagement. While you're in the clutch, make sure to give it a thorough cleaning and inspection to check for wear and cracks.
