I know you can fill the 2.5lb bottles from a 10lb bottle but can you fill the 2.5lb bottle from a large tank of nitrous like the size of a oxegen bottle for a torch set,4 feet tall?

I havent found anyone locally that carries nos so im thinking of leasing a large tank then filling the smaller tank but dont want to wrap up 600.00 just to be able to fill the small bottle.I dont have a nitrous kit yet thinking about the boss kit. Thanks in advance

PS any one have used kits for sale?

filling bottles

when i get my bottles filled they do my 10 and my 2.5 and i think it's 5.00 a lb.i can buy it direct for 110.00 for 60 lbs,not sure if i have to buy or lease the tank.

I do the same, as I have my 10 lbs. bottles filled and then fill the 2.5

But yes, you can purchase/lease the big bottle and fill your 2.5 with the right hose connection. I find it is easier for me to warm up and carry the 10 lbs bottle with me to rides. As long as the 2.5 bottle is cold 32 or below, and the bottle you are transferring from is 75, it will transfer over automatically.

So the big tank doesnt have any more pressure then the 10lb or2.5lb?
No, they should be roughly the same pressure when filled. I use NOS-PRO's method when filling CO2 tanks for paintball. As long as the smaller tank is very cold it will flow into it and fill it all the way. I use a fish scale to make sure I'm not overfilling. Nitrous tanks should say on them what the empty weight and full weight is, atleast Holtzman tanks do.

Yes, most should say the weight. EJ has the correct way of checking weight, with a scale.
