Lately my sled has no bottom end to it. 06 mcx turbo apex. Just put in 66g dalton weights with 2 17.2mm rivets. Would these bigger weights kill the bottom end snap that much? Seems like it doesn't even build boost until 8000 rpms. I used to be able to quickly wick the throttle and it would set of the BOVs. Now it just revs up the engine. Power feels about stock until about 8k rpms. Still rips on the top end. Also has some popping in the mid/top end. One other thing I noticed is whenever I wheelie it looks like blue exhaust coming from the very front of my sled. What the heck's up with that?

Have you checked your right exhaust flange? Your about due for cracking one of those if you have'nt yet. If you listen real close you will probably here it. I wouldn't run it anymore without going over your sled and finding whats up dude! Likely something minor.

Ken would be right on this one. Takes alot more time to build boost if the flange brakes. Pretty easy to both see and hear.

I just changed mine.
You could use the ones from RX-1's, but they will be a bit too short, so you have to extend them.

Are the stainless pipes just as easy to crack as the titanium ones?

Tom, what ken means is the right side "Bello". Theres 4 of them on the Apex, the right side one seem's to crack after a few thousand miles.
Remove your fuel tank, and the aluminum heat sheild and have a look. The 4 Bello's are are whats inbetween your motor and your 2 Ti pipes.

..or it could be the little exhaust gaskets between the new pipes you put in and the mcx header.

Same thing happend to a friend of mine. We're now working on his Apex MCX rear mount, and yes the right side header pipe was cracked in the flexible joint. Sled has less than 1000 miles on it.

I can't believe new ones aren't included in the kits. Almost every gasket I've seen has broke when they've been taken out of the old exchaust...
we should make a wish-list for mcx. Pre slotted intake cam, new gaskets, what else...let's see...

The exhaust gasket(07) is very derable and can can be taken on and off easily without ripping or tearing. I dont think it is at all necessary for them to supply one. I didnt need it for my sled at least but thats just me.

how many miles do you have on that yet HYFLR? I THOUGHT we took mine off without tearing it on the 06, but after 1200 kilometers, I took the sled apart over the summer, and guess what, the gaskets wheren't anywhere near good.
Same thing on an RTX I innstalled the turbo on. Took it apart a month ago, gaskets broken.
