wondering if anybody else is having this issue. When i start my viper in the morning and its cold out, my reverse wont work. i need to drive about 10 miles before it will start to work. This is the 2nd time it has happened, good thing i can drive out the other end of car port

No "R" on gage pod or beeping?

Can you hear any normal reverse engagement noises when reverse button is engaged?

Definitely check your chaincase oil...to see if there is any and if there is water in there.

well oïl seems to be good. There is no click or r or beeping.like there is no power heading to servo.i appreciate the responses must be isolated issue. leaving for a week long trip hope we have no issues.

took it into dealer they think could be a bad relay very hard problem to fix when it wont do it all the time.

No problems here

I have the same problem - but its happening now in whether it is -20 C or -40 C outside. Has your chaincase been updated per the bulletin? After this started happening on mine, my chaincase came out of gear at 140 km/h down the lake. After coming to a stop, I shut the engine off and I was able to turn my secondary by hand and it wouldn't turn the driveshaft/drivers. I put the unit on its side to inspect underneath, found nothing. When I put the unit back on its track an grabbed the secondary to try and spin it again, the chaincase went back into gear and I was able to drive it home per usual afterwards. I haven't ridden it since. Bulletin parts are backordered. Not sure if it is related to the reverse issue but I would think so.

Mine did come out of gear once at around 80 mph. I put another 750 miles on and never came out of gear again. It's at the dealers now the update parts came in and are being installed today. I will be backing it in for our trip but I will be checking it every morning.
