Had my dealer install new Challenger Extreme 153" and first trip out to some deeper snow and holy crap is it noisy and vibrating. Way worse than the powdermax 144 and 146 x 2.25". Tech told me it was tight. He was sounding concerned that it may be too tight but said he just got the nylocks into the plastic so it could not be any looser. It really gets noisy when you get into deeper stuff as apposed to hard, and the vibration picks a lot then too. Plus it looks like I'm using a lot more power too as the tach only hits 8500-8600 in the deeper stuff. Likely need to do some clutching.
Need some ideas please.

Have YOU personally checked the track tension and alignment?

I noticed the same thing when I put my challenger on. It first it was because it was ratcheting real bad that icon explains it enough, but after I tightened it up a bunch (more than what I used to on other sleds) most of it went away. Also alignment was off a bit, but after that it has been even. It still gives a vibration most of the time, though it is slight. I chock this up to the fact that the new track is clipped every other, where the maveric was completely clipped.
Do you guys run these things really tight? I thought with extro's you can run them loose.
Your opinions would be appreciated.

I have checked the alignment twice after a couple of short rides and it seems good. Both hyfax right in the middle. No ratcheting so if anything maybe still a bit snug. I could not loosen even if I wanted to as there is no adjustment left for that, only to tighten when the time comes. This must be a stiffer track than the Powdermax as it has noticibly more vibration.
