I am going up to Price County near Park Falls, WI on Wednesday, Jan. 4 and staying through until Saturday to ride in the fresh snow they got this weekend.
Rooms are only $35 per night for a nice clean room in a decent motel.
Anyone interested in going or meeting up there for some riding?
Let me know if you are and I will give you more info!

How much snow did PF get from that last storm? We are thinking about going to Ironwood on Saturday to ride. How much base does the area have?

They claim 6-7" and they had a 2-6" base. North and East of there got even more and had better conditions than PF did before that last snow. Plenty of snow up there in that area now. I picked PF so that I could ride north and east from where I figure the good snow is starting and maybe avoid some of the heavier traffic. if you google wisconsin snowmobile trail conditions....there is a great state tourism site that gives the latest on all trials....really nice.

i was out on sunday & it was a crazy whiteout going across lakes. blowing snow & windy. this was st. germain area though. i'd say most of the northern part has snow now.(finally)
i had 8" of snow by me in conover. trails are better but the groomers need to get out to take care of the whoops in the heavy traffic areas.

Well, I made it to Park Falls, WI yesterday and put on 120 miles today on the trails. 75% of them we in good condition and 25% were moguls....a good day over all. Just glad to be riding. My arms are sore! One more full day of riding and then I have to head back home 5 hours away to where the ground is brown.....too bad I have to work to afford this hobby! Here are some pictures of the trip so far.

trails getting bad yet from being warm by you? i know its supposed to be high 30's again.
at least you got your riding in before the weekend traffic.

Hope the trails hold up for this weekend! Loading up the trailer and heading to Northern WI in 5 minutes! First miles of the year on two new sleds!

Put 135 miles in on Saturday and Sunday combined. For the most part, trails weren't too bad. Couple bad spots, but kind of expected with lack of snows. Rode mostly west of Minocqua.

Heading up to Vilas Co. tomorrow afternoon/evening, hitting the trails Thurs./Fri./Sat. Will give trail reports when I can. Looks like big snows on the way, potentially! System + lake effect enhancement on northern WI counties. First time out this season (gack).

Yes please update we are going up yhat way for a week, leaving on Monday am. so a real report would be great.

09phazer, where you staying at? i'll go out riding with you since i have off this week. provided we get some snow.
trails are brown from conover to st. germain. need this weekend storm to be BIG.
