Has anyone had any issues with starting your nytro when it's cold out. I had issues with mine this weekend, I went to unload it off the trailer and it would'nt start, turned ignition on and heard the fuel pump run but would'nt start, tried it a couple times and fianlly heard the click from the relay and it started, no problems after it started the 1st time. I went to start it this morning it was about 12 degrees out and the same thing happened, but this time when i finally got the relay to start clicking it would'nt fire. I went and got a hair dryer and took the hood off and warmed the relays up, it then fire after a minute under the hair dryer. I know the apex's had this issue but did'nt realize the the nytro did the same, I have to believe it's the same problem with the relay's.

I also had this same problem last year. Wouldn't turn over until relay was warm.. . no problems once it warmed up. I ended up replacing the relay when i got home.

I do believe its the relay/fuse on the right side of sled. I had issues. moisture gets in there and freezes when cold. I cleaned it and put di-electric grease in there and have had no problems since

I'll look at that again, but I cleaned and put di-electric grease on that before season started, the fuse had actually corroded ,when I pulled the fuse one of the prongs stayed in the slot, I cleaned and replaced fuse, but sled still started then, but was warm out then.

i believe its the green housing in the pic....correct me if im wrong.

Thats the main fuse. If you want some security when leaving your sled outside at night. Get one of these and make it blow, then just take the good one out and put the blown one in.. Its not going to start with that fuse blown! Its easy to get to, and I would be very suprised if someone jacking your sled would be able to find it!

Relays are kinda under the headlight in the front of the sled, there are 4 lined up in a row. 3 have the same part number 4th is different, but which one dous what?

I believe the 3rd relay from the front is the fuel pump relay. The other two are for the cooling fan and headlight. the odd relay is for the high/low beam. The main starter relay is located behind the oil resevoir on the right hand side. Just follow the positive battery cable back and it will lead you to the relay.
