I'm new to EFI and 4-stroke tuning an am looking for some general advice.
Here's my set-up:
2010 Nytro XTX
Barker Exhaust
EHS Fuel Controller (Dobeck box programmed by EHS for the Barker)
K&N Filter Kit
CR10Ek's
Here's where I'm at:
I can notice a distinct difference in the sound of the engine when adding or subracting fuel to a given part of the curve under relatively constant and fixed load. For lack of a better description - it sounds more "raspy" with less fuel. I can hear the difference when adding incremental fuel and the raspiness goes away. I'm equating "raspy" with leaner and the point that the raspiness disappears to be heading into the richer territory. I'm finding this similar to what I've learned about 2 stroke fuel - but with 2 stroke - usually the more raspy the sound the more power(until too lean and not enough wash).
Is this generally the same with my nytro? If I tweak to the point at a given part of the curve where I can hear the raspy start to turn - how is this comparing to max power output?
I realize that it's difficult to get it perfect without AFR or dyno - just looking for some general info to get the best out of it I can.
I'm most concerned with WOT right now - but any feedback/comments/info much appreciated.
