hey guys i have a 2012 xtx that needs the front end rebuilt / upgraded . looking at mountaintech 41+2 but was wondering on the trail how it will corner compared to the factory frontend ? We do a fair amount of ditch riding is why i was looking at the 41 over the 43 . Thoughts or what you all have experienced would be much apprecited . thanks matt

43 is great on trail. I’d do a 41 if I did it again tho. Would be a little easier to play in the ditches and deeper snow

I have the 34" kit from Mountain Tech. I ride ditches, Trails, and off trail and the kit is a huge improvement over the stock Arms. The 34" handles pretty good on the trails. Have to take it somewhat slower in the corners but i have no problem putting it to the bar on a straight away.

Hi Matt. I was wondering if you were able to contact Mountain Tech about that front end. I tried to call them and sent an email but the phone number is disconnected and there was no reply to the email.
I too have a Nytro XTX but a 2010 with a completely sacked out front end so I was also looking at options .

Mountaintech is alive and well. The 41" is a great trail front end. A tad narrower than the 43" kit which helps off trail. Moving the spindles 2" forward makes the big difference along with full adjustability of caster and camber. I have 2 41" kits that I will let go at Spring pricing of 15% off. First come first served.

Any spring pricing on the 43” front ends Pete?

I have the MountainTech 41" crossover a-arm kit and the full MountainTech skid plate.Ck out the photos, the MountainTech front looks way more modern and cool then the Yamaha OEM. Amazing transformational improvement from the 41" kit. Fantastic products. I like my 2009 Nytro way better then my 2016 Renegade XRS spring order. With the MountainTech kit on the 144" Nytro XTX and getting rid of the Yamaha tuner skis and replacing them with the Curve XM-Pro 7.5 wide skis and the Curve leading edge kit ( first zero dart gizmo that works) this Nytro goes between the trees my Renegade won't, get's through the cat-tail bogs that my Renegade sunk in, is flatter and smoother on groomed and whooped out trails. Also had Star suspension rebuild and re-valve my OEM GYTR shocks all around and add Star's XTX suspension skid kit. Also added the Schmidt heavy sway bar. Star also provided all new springs according to my weight also. Then did the full Thunder billet clutching and added the full Hindle 20" stealth header and silencer with the DB killer, kit came with the DynoJet auto tune wide band O2 sensor kit too. I have been riding for 56 seasons now and for 55 of them was a Ski-Doo-a-holic I wanted to try a 4 stroke Nytro, I will never go back. The absolutely playful ride, the sound that is intoxicating Hindle nails it and with the 20" stealth with the DB killer it is nice and quite but has that 3-6-12 cylinder 4-stroke cadence that never gets old and even after a 300 mile day your ears don't ring, cruising effortsly at 60 mph, the smooth power. The MountainTech 41" crossover front was the single best upgrade. The Hindle dropped at least 20 lbs, then did the LiIon aviation battery and saved another 10 lbs. I went cold turkey Yamaha from 55 Ski-Doo exclusive seasons to a 2009 minted out Yamaha Nytro XTX for my 56th season and I am going to stay Yamaha. The Nytro XTX all kitted up is the best do it all and do it right snowmobile I have ever had. Yes I spent a lot, I paid $4,300 for the Nytro, then put in 6 months of work starting from complete disassembly, replacing every bearing and seal, doing all the great things I learned from Total Yamaha, then I spent another $5,000 on all the refurbishing, powder coating and up grades. I have half into what I put into my Renegade and the Nytro XTX is 4 times better and a lot more fun. This Nytro does everything well for Minnesota and Wisconsin riding. Really well.

Oh, You will also want to add the Barn Of Parts dual fan radiator kit with the steering post relocate. Also added the Yamaha auxiliary cooler and went with Evans waterless coolant because I heard some folks had overheating troubles with their Nytro's. You don't know what over-heating and tunnel ice clogging is until you have had a Ski-Doo 2016 Renegade with the 1.6 Cobra track. I never had any over-heating issue with my Nytro this winter and we had very little snow, and rode on a lot of rocks and frozen mud. Even riding with my Niece whom has a Arctic Mini Cat 120 wound out tight we got it up to about 12MPH and she will ride all day with us from Sun up off the trailer to loading in the dark, so I have had long days riding slow and fun and my Renegade always overheats when ridden slow, my Nytro never, my Niece is so happy that Uncle can keep up with her all day because the Nytro stays cool. Listen, the Evans waterless coolant is for cooling like the MountainTech is for the front end.

Lyle,
I want your sled so bad.....Wow, I'm just starting out on my new to me RTX....hope he looks as good as yours one day.

Guys I had forgotten to update this . I ended up with the 41+2 kit huge improvement over the stock front end . Great customer service as well .
