I have a 09 Yamaha Nytro XTX and I'm considering selling it to get a Viper most likely a 14 or 15. I don't want to regret it if I do get the Viper. What should I do?

Depends on what you like. Had a 2008 121 nitro and hated it till I extended it to a 136", but still didn't handle as well as the 16 viper I have now.i like the seating positon better on the nitro, but again the handling out weighs that easily. I think the nytro feels like its got 10 more hp but its no faster and the nytro is more fun if you like to lift skis over bumps and things like that. But I would never go back to the nytro, cause the viper handling and suspension are that much better. And there is the servicing of sled which I think the nytro is way easier to service than the viper due to chaincase and other arctic cat ideas. There both great machines, hopefully that helps
For me it would depend on condition and the big one at least comparing xtx Nytro to Rtx viper is Viper “feels” so much lighter. Keep it for a spare at least for a season or two if at all possible.

I had an 09 Nytro RTX and LOVED it! Then went to a 13 Nytro XTX and didn't like it as much. I now have a 16 Viper LTX DX and love to ride it but the year end service really bites compared to the Nytro's!
On the 09 the weight went away when riding it. I thought Yamaha built that sled for me. The 13 was a great looking sled and felt heavier in the trails. The 16 Viper feels very light on the trails and is a blast to ride! I never leave the trails to ride and have never studded the tracks since going four stroke in 05.
I can definitely put more miles on in a day on my Viper than I could my Nytro's.
The Viper is a great machine but I am thankful it only has to be serviced once a year!
