I am installing the MPI Turbo on my 2015 SR Viper RT-X LE and I was wondering about fuel Requirements? At home I can get 91 Octane but I often take longer trips where Premium Fuel is not available. Is there an Additive I should pack, if so what's recommended or are most of the Octane Boosters basically snake oil? Looks like Canadian Tire offers products from STP and the Like that claim 4-6 Points increase in the Octane numbers.

Most octane boosters are garbage. I am told the best one is the Torco brand---I have never tried it

Is there any vendors on here that sell torco or does anyone know where to get it. I would like to try it also. I also thought about trying the new DandD octane boost.

I've used the red NOS octane booster on 2 stroke sleds when I couldn't get premium fuel. Also used it in some cars to eliminate "ping" but I also put in more than recommended. Just my .02

Torco works great. I use it in my turbo sled. I wouldn't touch most of the crap sold in stores. Lucas is supposed to work well though I haven't used it.

I ran Torco last year when I turned the boost up. Got it from Ulmer. Motor is still in one piece!
I have not blown mine up yet either!!!!(AGAIN) I run race gas blended with 91 at 12#'s but did carry Torco last season. I also ran 108 boost as a precaution. I think it is a good band aid I would just not run WOT on 87 gas with a bottle of it poured in.
At least with Torco it has a mix chart for ounces to gallons vs starting Octane # the others say raises Points 5 to 7 per treatment add 1 can to 16 to 21 gallons.

X2 . Ran into some crappy gas last season/ running full SLP setup with fuel commander on a F8.. The sled would basically fall on its face/ detonation protection/knock sensor/ ... Dropped half a can of Klotz in.. Ran greatI have used Klotz octane booster for years with good results.

Sounds like we need a octane tester. I have watched the state weights and measure guy test octane before. It would be very interested to see if these additives are all they claim.
