Ok heres where I'm at. I have oil in the coolant reservoir and when the oil was drained I got coolant in the oil. Somwhere it is mixing. I rented a block tester to check for crack block, head gasket and the results were negative. I'm now thinking water pump or oil cooler. Whats your thoughts and any step by step instructions to get to those parts?
Since your block test was negative for combustion gas in the coolant, the place i would check is the oil cooler beside the oil filter it's really the only other place for the coolant and oil to meet bad gasket or cooler
To get at the water pump you need to remove the engine as it is located on the left end of the engine. The bulkhead is in the way of access. The oil cooler is located on the front down by the battery. I think that you can get at it without engine removal. If you remove it you should be able to pressure test it or take it to someone who can. The only thing that I see in the water pump that could leak is the shaft seals, they are cheap but hard to get at (engine removal req'd). Also the oil pan needs to be removed to remove the water pump. The oil cooler is expensive ($320) but easy to get to and test. If it were me I'd check the oil cooler first.
