I just changed the oil but not the filter on my 07 Phazer using Mobil One (0W-30). The oil light now stays on for about a minute after starting. After being warmed up the light only comes on when the engine is stopped and the key is on. It goes off immediately after starting when warm. I've double checked the oil level using the method outlined in the manual (stick out, resting on the threads) and all is well. Should i be concerned?

This sled is new to me and this was its first oil change...

I know the manual says that the oil filter doesn't have to be replaced but the majority of people here do. Could be the oil level. Are you sure that you filled it correctly? If you check it by screwing the dipstick all the in and then pulling it out, that would be incorrect and you would be low. You check the oil by unscrewing and pulling the dipstick out, wiping it and then just inserting it into the tank without screwing it, basically just resting the cap on top of the threads. The manual explains this.

Yes, I check with the dipstick unscrewed. I'll try the filter.

Yes, that's what I use. Never a problem.

Blow a bit of compressed air into the vent hose on top of the oil reservoir (or take it of an blow into the can). Don't over do it! Just close the hose of with fingers or a cloth. Fill up to the mark and redo it until it's fixed. Tried it and it works.

You can also fix the problem by tilting your sled while motor idles and then fill up again. I have not tried this method my self.

To avoid the problem in the future, fill a bit of the oil in the engine directly (you'll need to remove the gasoline tank).
