My plan:
Change oil and filter (2,765 miles it's due)
Add fuel stabilizer.
Fog Engine to coat upper cyliders and valve stems/seats to prevent corrosion.
Grease Suspension
Spray everything with WD-40
?????

I havn't stored a 4-stroke yet but here is what I did with the 2-strokes.
pull air box, pipe,& belt and cover open ports with plastic bags and rubber bands
Use engine-brite to clean entire engine compartment. Pressure wash to rinse. let dry several days. put pipe and air box back
grease skid and add sta-bil to gas(full tank)
use entire can of silicone spray per sled and spray entire angine compartment and skid
I never fogged an engine but instead start them about once a month and let run for about 15 minutes.
All of my sleds look brand new under the hood even after 4-5 years

Yeah same here, plenty of 2 strokes.
I usually pull the secondary clutch anyway and leave it off. I'll be pulling both on the Rage so I can ship the primary to my dealer for the rattle fix.
Starting a four stroke every month is not a good idea, it takes way long for the oil to warm up sufficiently to evaporate any moisture. I've put several antique and classic cars up for people some were in storage for years while the owners were overseas in the service and I never had a problem.

Make sure to plug the exhaust. I use news paper. Mice can get in the exaust and make nests.
I have always just started them every month. Make sure it is run over 10 minutes to get the pipes hot to get rid of any moisture. In about mid summer I will pump out all the gas and put in fresh and continue every month until time to ride. Not sure if this is the best way but it has always worked for me.

Plan on using my bilge pump to pump out the tank. Then I will run it dry take out the airbox and open the little carb drain screws. These pilot jets ar so small that they will clog up very easy.

Mice can eat through newspaper, I would use steel wool (the stainless steel or copper potscrubber type)
I store my sleds in the basement and we have cats (not the sleds) so mice ar not a problem here.

I also like to take the preload off all springs and lift the sled off the ground to take the wwight off the suspension. I also take the track tension off, although I've heard with the new tracks you don't have to worry about doing that anymore!?
Then pull out the golf clubs!

No need to start it, doing more harm than good. Whats wrong with leaving it off the whole summer? Also, if you add fuel stabilizer, be sure it reaches the carbs, then you know its in the entire system.

i put fuel stabilizer in it and let it sit over the summer. when it comes time to start it next season ill just put a drop of fuel in each carb opening, and cover the openings with a piece of cardboard and the sled will fire right up. thats what the dealer suggested and it works great

With my 2 strokes I pulled the carbs and cleaned them every fall to be 100% sure of no melt downs. A little more involved now (and no meltdown issues) so I think I'll try a full tank heavily dosed with stabilizer.
Other than that, a good cleanup and a heavy spray of WD-40 underneath and call 'er good. Store it with the track off the ground and the belt off.
My question is what are you guys doing about battery maintenance on these sleds?

From what I've heard......this is the only way to go with these batteries. I'll be getting one for mine in the next month or so, will never worry about my battery again. Many reviews on this unit.....there was even one in Snow Tech where they raved about it.

Looks like the ticket! What are the three accessories that you can order with it? Are they needed, or is it replacement harnesses or something?
