Hey guys sorry for the newbie post but what is the reasoning for these what do they help with also is the third wheel Setup from oft worth it? What size wheels work. Best?

Excell wheels. A lot less hyfax wear. My hyfax were gone in first 300 miles with stock wheels. I put excell wheels on. Put on 400 more miles with no wear yet.

I went with the dupont sliders first. Over 700 miles on them and very little wear. I will probably do the oversize wheels too when it comes time to replace the bearings.

X2 on the Excell wheels

Heads up , Kimpex makes idlers that look almost identical to Yamaha's pattern. I replaced all 4 of my idlers this year with them. And they are not super expensive. After 3000k on them, no problem.

How hard is the oft big nuts axle to install? What size wheels do you recommend
You can get the rear wheels changed with skid in sled ( have to have track as loose as it can ) it's a little bit of a struggle but it can be done ... Much easier to pull it out and install rear wheels ... As far as size I've never ran them so I would give OFT a call and ask !!!!

Oft rear axle runs same size wheels. BY having wheels between rails and not outside it allows you to move sled around more, more like a tire than a track in back for example. 2wheels have limited strength in some cases and that's why they developed 3 wheel kit. Oft offers their wheels with 25mm wide bearing and factory bearings are 20mm I believe from yamaha

I remember reading a post a while back from. Someone saying do not using the oft center wheel kit for trail riding or bad things would happen any one have any insight on this. I'll. See if I can find the thread

I looked at those wheels, 135mm same as Doo and Poo wheels, glad to hear they help the problem, I'll put them on the list for next season, but I need 6 as I added 2 at the rear of the rail. They held up good?

I have started stocking these wheels now also. They retail for $25, so some guys opt for them over the x wheels. The x wheels do have the advantage as they will not freeze in place when loose snow in skid freezes overnight.
