Anybody know what rpm develops the most hp? Have a new Apex and seems to jump almost to 10G's on the tach and would like to know where all my hp is the strongest.

Its supposed to be at 10500, but some have claimed that its actually lower - around 10100.

Don't forget that your engine will have to broken in before you develop that peak HP

dyno tec has tested several and they have all been there 10.700-10800. a bit higher than the rx 1 i would guess that thats why yamaha put a steeper gear reduction in this moter to run higher rpms with longer dration and higher lift cams so that the clutch rpm,s would run at or below 9000 rpm.

i re checked my sheets and they dont look the same as the ones that are posted here. humm. differt air temps and or humity maybe? looks like a totaly differnt moter manufature. even the on the exel exh. if thats it i stand correted.

Black John, I pulled those directly off of Dynotech yesterday afternoon.

We put my ATTAK on the dyno Maxed out at 10 600 but 0.5 less only at 10 400 and 10 500, and 10 700 but drops rapidly at 10 800... I'm aiming 10 400 to 10 600...
