im new to NOS but ive done a lot of reading and think i am capable of installing/running NOS. heres a few questions. putting on a 07 phazer fx.
can i run stock clutching? will it over rev with stock? also top speed?
will i be able to put a 2.5lb bottle on the phazer? i see most have the 1.7 mounted in the front. what about mounting a bigger bottle in the rear?
also would 10 grams a second be ok on a stock phazer?
i plan on going with the holtzan, due to simplicity and no bottle heater.
also my riding style is jumping, ditch banging, and trail riding, im just looking for a little extra power. i miss the power of my 700 sx.not looking for anything really fancy, just reliable.
thanks guys!

I haven't seen much info. on the Phazers with NOS but this is the place to be to find out. Several of us are running Holtzmen kits. NOS-PRO is extremely familiar with the Holtzmen set-ups. He helped me with my install and actually it is not as complicated as it sounds.
You asked about mounting a bottle in the rear of the sled and my first thought was the length of line you would need to have to get to your airbox. I would think you would use (lose) alot of nitrous in that distance and not be much further ahead then using a smaller bottle mounted closer.

Holtzman does have a phazer system, and works well. Instead of the 2.5 bottle, he has just under 2 lbs. bottles that fit right up front. The nice thing with Holtzman, is that if you mount the bottle elsewhere, you still don't have to warm it up.

I have a holtzman kit on my phazer. 1.7 lb bottle mounted in the front. For a while I ran 2 1.7 bottles mounted in the back. It looked cool, but I didn't use it nearly as much as I thought I would.
You can still run stock clutching, but it will overrev a little. The 2.5 lb bottle will only fit in the rear and you'll have to run some pretty long lines. Off the top of my head, I want to say the kit uses a 12-13 g/s nozzle for 25-30hp.
I would like to get ahold of some others that have the kit just to compare their settings on the needle jet.

monker what kind of mph increase are you seeing with the 25-30hp shot on the phazer?

I don't have any hard numbers. The only time I was on the lakes it was either rough or a lot of deep snow. Hopefully next year I'll get a chance to do a better before and after comparison.

so do you think it was worth it? i would have to have 2 bottles because the nearest fill station is an hour away one way...wonder how 2 2.5 bottles mounted on the rear would look. its a lot of line but i think it would be worth it for the riding to do.

I think it was worth it. 2 2.5 bottles would take up a lot of room on the back. Sounds like what you need is a 1.7 for the front and a 20lb mother bottle to do your own refills. That's what I ended up doing.
