Why doesn't Yamaha dump the exhaust up front like most sleds ? Seems like you'd have less weight (shorter exhaust) and not need an open tunnel to cool the exhaust ?

I think the rear exhaust looks awesome, especially the modified ones. I really liked the excel one too.

Good thing too, if it was in the engine compartment we might have a large hole in the belly pan for snow cooling
I think I may midly try to cover the hole with some gutter guard, I will let you know what happens.

I love where I work, free metal and tools, took me an hour to design and build and install. And they are water tight I hit all the joints with the garden hose and there isn't any leakage.

i'm leaving my tunnel alone until i get some miles on it, there has to be a good reason why it's open, i know the exhaust heat, but something in this design tell's me not to screw with it
