phazer supercharged destroy engine

what is the cause of that mess after only 300 miles
on only one side

-detonation / octane
-over boost
-long time boosting
-vacuum airleak
- to many high rpm
- any other suggestion

Wait I will wave my magic wand.... I am getting pretty good at reading minds lately...LOL

Maybe he don't want any help hes just showing us how it looks blown to crap with too much boost, and running crappy fuel.

No way would a engine do that at idle... there would no boost. I would tell him to go pound sand... and it would never idle if it was that damaged when you sold it.

Ba HA HA All that happend just at an idle on the trailer .. Sounds like a frickin story , didnt notice a miss or even a odd noise .

I'm sure he had it idling on the truck, got it nice and hot before he took it for a wide open throttle 14 lb rip with that old 82 octane summer pump gas in it and this is the result. Detonation broke the cast piston then the rod.
Hot coolant temperature + poor octane quality fuel + boost = scrap.
An idling engine doesn't have enough inertia to do that kind of damage, it would have just stalled.

That's the nature and risk of buying used. You don't know what he did with it. Sucks to be him. Who knows if he's trying to con you with another engine he previously blew up or something.

did you write down how many miles was on it when you sold it to him? if so, look at the odometer and see if he is lying or not. it would tell you if it stayed in the bed of his truck.
