Pilot 6.9 ski's installed

A quick question for those of you that have tried this setup. I have the skis, loops etc (and my Rouskis haha) and have to pick carbides. I read about 25 random pages and the initial recommendation was for 8" executives and now it may have shifted to the 8" ACE bar bith in addition to the stock outers. I am swapping to a 1.75 Hurricane Track and will run unstudded at first but may add iGrips. Would one be better than the other for my setup? Any advice is appreciated.
I liked the ACE bars over the round bars. They are a tad more aggressive with less push. In tight trails we need to turn!

Get snow trackers from Travis at Barn of Parts... I’ve tried lots of ski and carbide combos... you won’t be disappointed!
IMO snowtrackers do NOT work well with dual carbide Pilots. A snowtracker setup is much better on a flatter longer/single keeled ski IMO. A Cat stock ski for example would be a better ski for snowtrackers. Our tight trails need aggressive turning setups, IMO Trackers are not as aggressive turning in most all conditions, however they are light effort and anti-darting.

I ran snow trackers on my pilots without an issue, I have since upgraded to Curve and run snow trackers on those as well. I ride with a group of about 10 people, all have switched to snow trackers... even the guys running Apex sleds with pilots.... ‍♂️

Fair enough. Thanks guys, I will go with the ACE bars. I was just thinking they might be too much carbide for my setup.

Glad to know someone likes snow trackers on curves I have yet to find anybody or any reviews on the snow trackers with curve skis. I was on the fence whether I would try the snow trackers on the curse but if you say they're really good I might give them a try!

Hey you crazy canuc,
Not sure on the track upgrade but did exactly what Dan suggested.
First off I have the SW 141 & no studs.
I went with the Pilot 6.9, The Executive 8" 60 degree 1/2" round in the center, BRP 4" square 7/16 host bar on the outsides. Did not have time last year to play with the shocks.
Difference was incredible from the stock ski/bars. The first year I thought I bought a rocket that couldn't steer.
After ski change It's an awesome ride.

I'd like to find a new set of 6.9 but can't! Not even on the ski Doo parts site, did they discontinue them?

Thanks Scott. Already got the skis, picking up the carbides on the way home tonight. Can't wait for the snow. Tuners on my Viper were junk at best so couldn't do those again. New track is a Hurricane 175. Showed up at work today!

I ordered everything on amazon. I just checked and the oem skis are still available.
Below is my parts list with part#. Just search BRP and the part number and you should find all the BRP stuff.
Search the nuts and bolts stuff with McMaster & Carr and the part#.

Ski, ski handle and carbides.
QTY- BRP Part Number
1 - #505073056 RH 6.9 Ski
1 - #505073055 LH 6.9 Ski
2 - #505070963 Ski handle
2 - #860200525 Ski handle rivets(A better solution is SS bolts/Nuts-Will post sizes )
1 - #860200580 BRP Executive 8" 60 degree 1/2" round host bar carbide(for center)
1- #860201044 BRP 4" square 7/16" host bar for outers(or move from center to outer)

Nuts & Bolts to attache ski handles. Went this route because BRP rivet system sucks. All nuts & bolts are McMaster Carr

The push is the exact reason I put 8" Ace bars on mine right off the bat with 4" square outer bars. Still have too much push in the corners. I have played with spring tension setting on the front & center shocks as well (15 Viper LTX w/ 160-lb center shock spring). I am going to try a pair of 15 Viper MTX skis this season (6" wide Cat skis with 1-3/16" keels) with 8" Woody's round bars and Woody's Navigator plates to help a little with the darting that a single-keel ski is known for.

I have the 5.7 pilots with 8 inch executives in the middle and Brp 4 inch on the outside. They made a huge improvement but still had some push. My final adjustment was to pull up my limiter 1 hole. Now IMO it is perfect. Very little push and dart and it handles very flat.

Nobody in my crew can keep up with me in the twisties.... I should mention I also run the BOP MPS kit. I hated the Curve skis until I changed over to the snow trackers and MPS kit. Hit up Travis at BOP and he can set you up, he’s a dealer for snowtrackers.

New part #s 505073056 and 055 BRP will also be offering their New 7.4 pilot ski as a kit .The 7.4 is like a deep keel r pilot ski

Thanks for the info! I can't get 6.9s shipped to Canada so I'm going to try snow trackers on the curves since I have them and might get a set of those 7.4 pilots if I can get a look at them in person.
