Taping is still on for Oct. 21st at the Texas Motorplex. There will be 3 races taped that day, and we are the 2nd race just at dusk. Rich commented that there are going to be some big names there, and wouldn't tell me what or who they were, as they are deciding on who yet. He promised me there will be plenty of traction, and that there is a sled that will open the show with the clocks on, (first ever on "PINKS"), and will try a new world record attemp in the mid to high 7's. Rich asked if I was nervous, and I told him I am so stoked, but nervous as hell. I asked Rich if he would join us on a ride sometime, and he said he would, but would only be for a day or so, due to work.
I watched the show last night, and watched the 2 brothers race again, and at the end of the show, they had on the bottom that there was 1 minute left on EBAY for the firebird. This raises a question as to who puts the vehicle on EBAY? Winner or "PINKS"?
I have a Paypal account now, and MrSled let me know it was o.k. to post on here for people/members to help out with costs to get to Texas and back. I am just waiting for the bank to say that the trial transaction went thru successfully, and then I can start accepting donations.

After 4 episodes, I am becoming less and less of a fan myself. Christensen and HIS show have absolutely NOTHING to lose. But I guess that's what makes the show exciting - 2 teams, both have everything to lose.
But it does look like a few have brought guns to a knife fight.

I also can see both sides of this deal, but hope that everything will work out. I will be there with Terry doing whatever I can to help make this a good show.

Terry, I just spoke with Tyler and I should be there. I will be in Dallas for work 18/19/20. CompUSA just went up for sale and that is my customer. It could effect my visit but that remains to be seen ( I am also teaching a class to other customers on Fri-20th). I can't wait to see you guys there, this should be a BLAST!!!!!! I am hoping that Hertz will comp me a giant van since I rent 5 cars a month from them. You have my E-mail if you need to contact me.
