At least when I had all yamaha relays only the gauges didn't work after a warm up then shut off to work on a non starting doo. This year with Polaris relays the fuel pump and gauges were out. -9f but this still sucks. Relays should not freeze. Had to pull them and warm em up.

Ya, probably a good idea to carry a spare. BRP had a batch of bad ones a few years back.

Has anyone tried the sealed relay from Ulmer? Curious to see if this works.

-27C and on a open trailer. Didn’t have anywhere to warm them up, honestly didn’t know what the hell was going on. Started truck and used the exhaust to warm up the entire engine bay. 10 minutes later, we were on the trails.
Funny thing, our 27 year old Ovation ran like a champ and stared no problem.

Remove the hood and you’ll see the fuse panel/relays in the nose. Not hard to find once the hood is off.Where are the relays located on the sled? I should probably learn this new winder, miss my apex I had it memorized LOL

Rock has sealed relays. He sent me some samples. Not sure if the production batch is ready.

I wonder when we'll ever be able to get solid state relays.
Wouldn't you think Cat or Yamaha would be looking for a different source. It's a bummer the sealed Polaris ones are still not good in the cold.

Has anyone tried to waterproof the relay with conformal coating? You use that to waterproof a radio controlled receiver? I doubt it, but you never know.
