Please leave thoughts on it and how long your oem battery has lasted.
How often do you charge it? Anyone try the optimate 4 yet? What are the upgrades from the 3 ,is it worth the cost difference??? These panels are a pain to take off and on in the cold.

battery life

i just changed the original batt in my buds 03 trx1.stored outside all year around.it was a pretty big batt.put a 10 in the seat for him

During the off season I use a cheap float charger from Harbor Freight. I use them in my 2 tractors, Diesel Ram, motorcycle, and sled. They work great for keeping the batteries full up.

Optimate 3 - Running the original battery in my '04 RX. Use the charger monthly in the summer. And occasionally in the winter too, even though I tend to put on a couple k miles per season.

I leave mine on 365 days a year, I back feed in my 12 acc plug (UNPLUG & RIDE) you have to HOT wire your acc outlet to the battery and install a inline fuse and your all set...

Great idea Apex08 then GPS ,CELL, VISOR, ect will stay on when stopping just have to remember to disconnect when done riding.

I have used an optimate for several years, loaned it out, saved literally, dozens of batteries for others. This thing is worth buying if you own anything with a battery. I also used it alot for kids electric cars that I install either car or lawn mower batteries in. The thing charges anything.
