Possible group buy for LED safety lights.

Got mine today. Really like the mini ram flange mounts. Question which is the result of having the sled up north at the cabin, cant just run to the garage and look for myself.

On the apex, there is a space between the hood and side panels.
Is there room to mount it right to the deltabox rail? I already have all the different length ram arms

Sled dog.the reason for the number of green leds used( 6 ) was as Steve mentioned,we really wanted the "caution sleds approaching" to really stand out. We also wanted to keep the overall unit as compact as we could.
 
Kudos again on the design Chris, it's quite apparent that a lot of thought and effort went into this unit and it's greatly appreciated ;)!

My own motivation to buy happened several years ago when I watched a young lad crash into a tree after taking his hand off the bars to give me the closed fist, last rider signal. I have no doubt that he likely had that signal instruction drilled into his head by his well intentioned instructor but missed the "only when it's safe to do so" portion of the instruction.

Fortunately, the only damage in the incident was to the sled and the little guy's ego as he went blasting off to catch his group as soon as I removed his sled from the tree.

Tork, I installed mine firmly to the bulkhead where you desribed, between hood and side panel,through the opening that's already there. Needed extension for Ram mount but worked great! Solid mounting. studdog
 
Well I was home for a few hours and I plugged one in too some power. Chris good job man! I am impressed with the size, quality and brightness of these units you will see them on bright days no problem.
 
Early reviews show that people really like the unit. I received the most comments from the Yamaha guys running the demo rides. To a man they all thought it was a great idea but were concerned with the price. There was even talk that it should be included as standard on new sleds.

The challenge now is getting people used to what it is and why it's on the sled. That my friends will be up to us to get the units out and exposed to the public.

Guess that means we have to get out there and ride, oh darn. 8)

rode last weekend ,lots of people asked about lights.once talked to them theyliked idea!!
 
On the river riding yesterday, and people loved the LED light. They said "even following them, they could see the green light in their rear-view mirrors. And this was in the daytime!" Not only that, but they could tell which sled was coming up on them, if it was me or not. They said "Very clear and bright light, even when the sun was on our backs, or into the sun, no difference!"

Chris, well liked by all, and should be getting some more calls. Had the sled up to over 138 on the dream meter, and it stays put.

My only concerns were that it was too big and not bright enough. But the unit is very compact. It is also bright enough, on both colors, that your eyes need to readjust after looking into it, similar to a flash from a camera at close range.
