Well here is how I hooked mine up!
Mounted to the left side cowling of an 04 rx-1 very easy and sturdy!
Ran the wire from the safety light to in between the gauge pod and cowling fixtures. Just unscrewed the one corner screw pulled it back and fed the wire through. Comes out right by the left headlight underneath the cowling.
On the cable of wires running down from the headlights and gauge pod I made a slit and tapped the positive wire from the safety light into the blue wire with white line.
Ran the ground wire right down to the front of the sled took off one bolt and bolted it down tight.
Bought some of that rubberized tape the kind you strectch to make stick and taped everything back up and then covered that with that hard plastic automotive wire protector.
used three nylon tie straps to snug everything up nicely and done.
Now I can open the hood and not have to worry about wires looks just as good as stock.
Now I just have to dust off the girls and install their skid plates and I am ready for a week in the Duck Mountains.

Chris, I finally got mine installed and working. I love it. It is hidden from site from the front of the sled until the engine in running. It is very well protected behind the windshield. I should not have to worry about a branch hitting it or if I roll the sled. I have had a great deal of interest from people who have seen my sled in person. I think it will be a very big hit for the years to come. Very bright. Here are some pics of my install. I love the rubber gromett to keep the wire in place. It is connected to the headlight, so when the sled is running, it has power.

I just read that you hooked your CCS to the headlight. I did some circuit testing with my tester and found that when I dimmed my lights or put them on high beam depending on which lead I tied into the CSS would lose power to it. Maybe check it out, if it is in fact doing this read my post and see where I tapped into the power source.

I will look into that since I can riding tonight. Thanks for the information.

No problem I was going to hook mine to the lights but it didnt matter how I hooked it up I would only have power when I was on dim or brights. If I swithced the lights the CCS would not get power until I put it back to dim or brights which ever line you hooked up too.

I understand now, it was either one or the other, not both. Mine work on the high and low beam. If you need any information regarding my install, I will be glad tell you. Good luck.

Please post your hookup maybe it easier than what I had done. I tried to go to the lights but found the one common ground and the high beam and low beam wires. So it would work on only one or the other.
